Catching Up

Wow, okay I tried to post on Christmas day, but the Kindle Fire my parents got me didn't want to publish my thoughts, lame. However, this Christmas has been the best one I've had in a good while. I did get a lot of stuff this year from my sweet fella and my family that helped make the fact that this was the first Christmas we had without my Grandaddy a whole lot easier. My Grandma loved having all of her grandchildren and great-grandchild over on Christmas eve. Then later that very day my sweet heart got back in town in time for us to exchange gifts and two things he got me this year are to the right!
My family and my sister's guy and mine all went out before I had to go to work on New Year's Eve and celebrated the good ole' southern way by going shooting, and boy did it feel good to blast away some big old calenders!
That is my sweetie in the background as I stand there awaiting my turn to shoot.
Have a great day/night everyone!

T'was the Day Before Christmas

Twas the day before Christmas and the whole house was busy getting ready for lunch at Grandma's house. The Pina Colada cake is cooling and is almost ready for devouring, the kids are wondering around already ready for food and wondering who all will show up.
Yes, this is a description of part of my Christmas eve. I really can't wait until much later today when my sweetie and I go out to dinner! And tomorrow feels like it is years away I really can't wait for my Granny's yummy home cooked breakfast!

Wonderful Day!

Shop-With-A-Cop was awesome this year just like last year was!! This year the little one we went shopping with had three helpers, my sweetie, me and his best friend who just got back the other day from West Point! Getting to see all the faces of the children that got to go just kind of warms me and I feel good helping them have a Christmas. Their happy faces also shows me that, even though the county I live in does make poor decisions about how to spend money, some of the things they choose to spend money on such as today does good for the people who don't make enough to have a proper Christmas.

The Birthday Thing

Okay so what does it mean when my 19th birthday is tomorrow and I am not jumping up and down, counting down the minutes until midnight, and planning any thing special? I am actually more excited for the day after my birthday, which happens to be shop-with-a-cop. True, I am not a police officer but my boyfriend's father is and this is the second year in a row they have asked me if I want to help out. How could I say anything but, "Yes of course I will help"
Now don't get me wrong I am excited that my birthday is tomorrow but not as excited as I have been in the past, could it be this way because I have an exam and I have to work that day?
I hope everyone has a wonderful day!

The Day of Forgetting

Yesterday had to be the day of forgetting because to start the day off I thought it was Friday and not Saturday. Then later at work one man left his debit card, a teenager girl left her purse behind and lastly a family left their to-go box behind. I also forgot to drink plenty of Sundrop so I had to suffer with a headache that verged on a migraine, but other than feeling like crap when I went to bed I had a very good day that was very interesting with all the forgetting that was going on.
Welp best get some housework done and some crochet done before skating.
Have a wonderful day and Merry (early) Christmas everyone!!

First Semester of Freshman Year of College

Eek! My first semester of college is nearly over I cannot believe it has gone by so dang fast!! I only have one class left today and two exams next week (one being on my birthday) then Christmas break!!
I am one happy girl since I am finally going to school for something I like rather than being forced to go to school to learn the exact same thing every year as everyone around me.
I am soooo looking forward to being able to teach children and being able to say I am the first grandchild to go to college on both sides of my family and graduate!
I hope everyone's day is wonderful and fun!

Busy Month

December, the busiest month for my family. This month if full of Christmas shopping, doctor's appointments, birthday shopping, and anniversary shopping! On top of that I might be helping my sweet heart's father out in the annual Shop With A Cop program, not that I'm complaining because I'm not, last year was the first year I helped out and I LOVED it. I believe the best part was getting to see the eyes of all of those children glimmer and gleam with joy.
Also I have been singing Christmas music for a month already! I need to hurry up and get all of the gifts I need to buy so I can look forward to Christmas! Have a wonderful night/morning and week!!
