Busiest Month of All

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving, I know I did! Well our Christmas tree and all of the gifts have survived all 3 cats so far!! Went the other day and got a lot of my Christmas shopping completed on one pay check, thank goodness for sales. Right now I am locked in my room while my parents do some shopping for my sister and little ole' me, so I am bored cause one of the books I am reading is down stairs with them. But any who, this time next week I will no longer be categorized as a "stupid teenager" exciting week right? Not really; my sister has given me her cold, I have to present my final exam tomorrow to my class, and on top of all of that my sweetie has to go out of town on his days off, one of which happen to be my birthday. This makes the second time I have gotten sick within 3 months of each time, so I am pretty pouty right now. At least it isn't a relapse of strep throat *knock on wood*. 

I guess I should be cleaning on my room but I really just want to be lazy. OH OH OH, next week my sweetie and I will be celebrating our 2 year!! Never in my life did I think I would even get to celebrate on week of being with someone, but hey miracles happen.

I guess I will try to get some stuff done on this messy room. Have a great day all. Toodles

Change is in the Wind

Today I am making it official this will be my last semester of college until I am able to go to the Art Institute and achieve the goal I have had since forth grade. NO longer will I be wasting my time dabbling in stuff I don't want to do. It is time for me to focus all of my efforts on something I am passionate about; I will prove to those who have zero faith in me that I can do what I set my mind to. He may call it a mistake all day long, but at least when I have been doing my job for 27 years I will still enjoy it.

I am a strong woman who can do whatever I set my mind to!

I will have a bakery of my own and I hope I will see some of my readers in there.

The Croop, The Cough, And Star Wars!

All last week and most likely this week too I have had the worst cold I have had in a looooong time. I have literally been getting up from bed just long enough to go to class and eat, but most of my days I have been sitting or laying watching t.v. shows. Boy do I wish I liked tea, maybe I should try hot tea sometime I might actually like that kind.

One awesome thing did happen last week, I started watching Star Wars with my sweetie for the first time ever! And it is my first time seeing them not his, he has seen them a few times; me on the other hand have not seen them and I really wanted to understand the cute jokes I have been seeing all over the internet and well everywhere. I think I will get to see the next one this week and maybe possibly the third one too! My sweetie is really the best!

Well I guess I should be hitting the hay soon since I have class tomorrow morning and I still am fighting this annoying super cold. Well good night everyone, my the force be with you!

Fall Break!!

At last fall break has arrived! I now have a chance to get caught up on my knit (new project going on) and some other house related stuff. Speaking of house related stuff, yesterday I went through all of my clothes and jackets and filled a giant trash bag with stuff to donate to a local coat drive! 

 With fall break here that means Halloween is right around the corner! Halloween is by far one of my favorite holidays, we already have our pumpkins ready to carve, some candy to give out and we are going to decorate our house up nice here soon! I just realized we do more decorating for Halloween than any other holiday at my house.

Welp I guess I should get back to enjoying being free from class, I hope everyone else has a wonderful day!

Crazyness

Hello all this semester has been crazy busy started out the semester taking four classes but ended up having to drop one of them in order to stay sane. My math class started out fun but has rapidly gotten harder. I am happy to say that there is a slight chance that I could go to the local Art Institute and finally be able to do what I really want to do!

Since I finally have this crazy semester sort of under control I get to knit again! I am surprised that after not doing anything with my needles for so long, when I finally picked them up again I just started right up like I just put them down yesterday. I am currently working on a scarf (not that I need a new one but it gives me something fun to do). I also got to bake a birthday cake the other day with a good friend for her sister's birthday, which was incredibly fun! Soon I get to bake and decorate cupcakes for a sweet girl's one year birthday party!! 

Well back to the madness of the semester I hope everyone has a wonderful evening/day! Toodles!!

Busy!!

I have been so busy these past few days! For the last two weeks and this week too my sweetie has been working at a buddy's place during the day and going to train for a job at night, so to occupy my time that I have been cleaning like a mad person. I am glad he finally has a job but I cannot wait until I get to spend time with him, I miss him. Since I have been cleaning so much I now have room in my now clean room to move my mom's old desk from my grandma's house to my room! 

My father and I are going to go measure it to make sure it will fit soon and my sweetie and his buddy will be helping us move it shortly after that (hopefully tomorrow). Although my sister says that dad and her boy can get it I know better and I don't want her boy in my room even though it would be just long enough to move a desk in there I don't want him in here. I would much rather have two people who I have known for six years and I know I can trust to move my desk. Plus they have already agreed to doing it so my sister needs to just get over it.

I can't wait to be able to sit down at my own desk to do my homework for the up coming semester on my new/old desk. Well I best be going so that I can be ready to go with my dad to look at the desk, have a great afternoon or morning everyone! Toodles!!

Oops.. Kinda Late.

Hi everyone, sorry I have been so silent but shortly after my last post I got a two month old (now three month) kitten and have had my hands full with him. Not a lot has occurred in the time between now and then so you all haven't missed out on much. I have been able to spend more time with my sweetie lately, I have been enjoying it but I do really hope he gets this job he is applying for!

Well I know I haven't said much but I am sure when the semester begins next month I will have a whole lot of fussing/venting to do. I must go to work now so toodles, have a nice day!

My Mom!

Today is the anniversary of the birth of one of the best moms ever! Yup, today is my mom's birthday and it will be a wonderful day for her! She is best person ever, I can talk to her about everything and it is fun to hang out with her; she is the best woman ever!  Yesterday my sister had a quick course on how to bake a cake and then last night after work I decorated it for her. I love my mom with all my heart and I hope she enjoys her day!

Time For A Bit Of Catching Up

I know it has been a few days since I was on here last, but I have been kinda busy. Over the past few weeks I have been working on my room and getting it ready to have my mom's old desk moved into my room from her mother's house. It has taken some serious attention focusing attempts but I am proud to say that I should be able to move my desk maybe next week sometime or the week after that!

I also finally got a sewing machine!!! It took me years of looking at it in the store to finally pick it up and buy it. I just got it yesterday and I have been fixing things all day from my mom's old childhood pillow to some of her dresses, I'm not complaining seeing that I rather enjoy sewing but I wanna make something. I guess I am just going to have to start looking for ideas. If anyone has any ideas let me know what they are and I will most defanatly try to do them!

Well I guess I should start getting ready to go to work, if you live in the same general area as me you should defiantly take your father out to a nice dinner at River Terrace!

Time To Take A Moment

Okay, I know not all of my friends or coworkers will read this, or have the time to for that matter. But I would like to say that each and everyone of you I consider my family. Take my coworkers, for example; all of the servers are like my brothers and sisters, the kitchen staff are like cousins (because I am hardly in there to actually talk to them), and my bosses are like two extra parents. When I am at work I feel as safe there as I do when I am at home with my family and my sweetie.

I never really noticed that most of the people I have added on face book are mostly just people that I talked to just a few times at school, or people I happened to have class with. But really I think I only have three friends friends that I can remotely call my best friends, I talk to these three every single day and I feel I can tell them anything and everything. These three are: my friend Katie, who I have known since preschool; my "Buffalo", not her real name but an inside joke; and my sweetie, who I will have been blessed to call my sweetie for one and a half years in a couple of weeks!  I have known him and Buffalo for around five years, but I must say knowing them and Katie as long as I have has proved who my real friends are outside of my "two" families.

I am thankful God has blessed me with such amazing friends and has given me the chance to meet the people who helped them be the people they are, aka, their awesome families!

Ah June!

This month shouldn't be too crazy for me, yay! Well it shouldn't after this weekend is over, this weekend is the annual canoe trip for my sweetie and his guy friends. But when he gets back I am going to see if he wants to go antiquing with me and maybe one of my friends!
This month is kinda super exciting for me because this month marks one and a half years with my sweet heart! Eep! I never thought I would get to say that, I thought I would be the crazy aunt to my sister's kids (if she has any ever)...oh wait I will always be the crazy one in my family. Okay well time to go see what this day has in store for me, I might get to go shooting before work!

One Happy Southern Girl

Today started out as usual, get up early to go to church, all the while wishing I was with my sweetie out in the middle of nowhere. Shortly after my normal church service is over go out to my pawpaw's former church for a memorial service for my cousin Donnie. When all the hugs and tear drying was over we started to head back into town and my phone started to get text after text from......my sweetie! He had gotten back into town earlier than he thought and was going to surprise me by showing up at my house after church! I felt sooooooo bad when he said he sat out side in the heat knocking on my door and ringing the door bell. But when we finally got back to town we all had dinner together and he proceeded to make today one of the best days ever! 

I don't need to see him everyday (although I would LOVE it if I could) for him to put the biggest smile on my face when I do see him. He is really the only person that treats me like a female but in a respectful, loving way. With him I am not just one of the guys, I am a girl that cares about him and enjoys watching sports, going fishing, going shooting, and likes trying to help with working on things. I am by far not your typical girl and I am beyond glad I found a guy who likes the person I am and not the person I could be.

Well I am off to enjoy the rest of my day I hope everyone else does the same! Toodles!!

This Week

This week my sweetie and his family are going on their annual family fishing trip. While I am going to miss him like crazy bad I want them all to have loads of safe fun! And while he is out of state I am going to get a whole lot of stuff on the house done so when he gets back I wont have to worry about house work and will get to see him more! I feel some antiquing and hiking in our nearish future.

Though the hiking may have to wait until my foot heals up some more, yesterday I learned the hard way not to try to take apart a very heavy desk in flip flops because it hurts super bad when you lower the desk onto its back and lands on your foot instead of the floor. So now I have the prettiest little purple/blue bruise on my foot, and it hurts almost as bad as when I was little and broke my finger. But the good news is that now that desk is taken apart and in the truck ready for the dump or the recycle place!

Happy (Late) Mother's Day

Yesterday was Mother's day and boy was it a busy day! Had to get up nice and early from the lightest night of sleep in my sleeping history to get ready for church and to give my pretty mother her gifts. After Church let out we promptly went and had a loud but fun lunch with my family at my Granny's house so we could give her the lovely flowers we got for her yard. Then we went over to my Grandma's house to give her the gifts we got for her, more flowers for her yard too. 

While we were over there my sister, her boyfriend, and I decided to go upstairs of Grandma's beautiful antique house to take some rather interesting pictures.

Yes all of these are of my sister except for one, but I wanted practice with my cameras!

Weird

This week has been so full of cake baking that it hasn't really hit me until right now, but I feel completely weird not rushing around trying to finish essays or study guides or anything like that. I now have time to practice with my new/old film camera, bake cakes for my family and co-workers, and work on my crochet and knit. I am not complaining I like being able to do things that I find fun, but it is so weird being able to. I guess my body and mind just got used to getting up with the birds to go to class, *sigh* oh well I better enjoy it while it lasts cause summer will be gone faster than I want and I will be back to the good ole' college crunch.

Good Day? Lets Hope So!

Ever had a feeling a day is going to be a good day right when you wake up? Well I did today, when I arose the sun was pouring in through my windows and the birds were singing outside. As I sat there waking up I thought about what I had to do today then remembered today is another cake baking day! I just love it when people around me have birthdays it gives me a chance to do one of my favorite hobbies, bake cakes!

So the cake is baked and now she is cooling soon will I will get to stretch my fingers for the last time before I start decorating it! I guess I should do some house work before I get to have fun decorating.

It Is a Birthday!

Today is the day that my sweetie celebrates being born! I can not wait to give him his gifts and cake, hopefully this afternoon when he is freed from work. Well I guess I should get to work on that cake so it will be ready by this afternoon! Posting pictures of the cake later maybe!!

Yay Its May

For me May brings many things like more birthday cakes to bake for some pretty dang awesome people, one being my wonderful man! She also brings the end of the spring semester! True I wont get to see my fella much this month because of his evil job, but all I have to do is think that this is just one more month closer to the fall semester which means we will have a chance of having classes together! Well I do believe it is time to finish up working on my loverly study guide and contemplate how I will do everybody's birthday cakes. Have a great day everyone!

Nerves of Legos

Today I have nerves of Legos. Why, you may ask because I have to stand up in front of my composition class and speak about Ireland while I am in a skirt. I like skirts and stuff like that but when I go to class I don't hardly wear them or make-up but today I am dresses all girly. I am so not looking forward to it.

I hope everyone's day is wayyyy better than mine will be, unless my class gets canceled which I don't see happening. Wish me luck!

Finals Are Coming! Finals Are Coming!

Eep this week is the week before finals and boy am I nervous. I am just hoping for a nice relaxing weekend before I melt my brain working on final exams all next week. I did have a lazy weekend this past two days which was nice. Although having a migraine at work kinda ruined my Saturday but at least I had a nice day before I felt like my head was about to explode. And ever since Saturday I have been having like after shocks of the migraine which is sooooo not fun, but I am a strong girl and will defeat my head.

Well I am off to start my week before finals, I foresee large amounts of caffeine in my very near future. Have a wonderful day everyone and to those who are preparing for finals good luck and happy studying!

My Week

Monday was very Monday like except for when my best friend and I went to Cool Springs after class, which was pretty fun. Tuesday my brain melted but having my sweetie come over for family time made it better! Although he did get a song, that I didn't really like before, stuck in my head and now I love it and the band that sings it. Our lovely T.V. also died on Tuesday so yesterday my parents got a pretty new flat screen, it is massive! Today I have started working in my schedule for the fall semester I actually can't wait until that semester starts! Well time to get on with my day and enjoy some more Space Capone!

What A Day

Yesterday my day started extra early when around midnight my stomach decided it didn't want to hold my food anymore. The rest of the day since that lovely few minutes it was teasing me with whether it was going to keep the food or not... lovely. Then I get to work and wanted to just turn around and leave after I saw we had an evil table in there. The "parents" at this table are prime examples of people who do not need children! The "mother" let the youngest poop on the carpeted floor and did not discipline her!!!!!

I hope tonight is way better then last night! Off to do some house work and home work, have a lovely day all!

Easter!

Today is a lovely day and a good day! This morning we had a young lady get baptized after the sermon, so awesome!

After church my sister and her sweetie allowed me to take a whole lot of pictures of them and one or two of me and my sister!

My Weekends

This weekend and next weekend might be the two longest in the history of my life, for now. Today my sweetie is leaving to go spend Easter with his family and next week he is visiting some of his friends all the way in the other part of the state. Sooo I am thinking today I might bake my awesome coworkers some brownies for tonight and I am not sure what I am going to make next weekend, but I do know if he doesn't stop all this traveling my coworkers are going to have to buy some more clothes cause I will be doing a lot of baking to take my mind off his absence. Well I guess I best be getting the stuff for those brownies, and maybe another flower or some sort of plant.

Finally A Good Day...Kinda

Today was one of those days when the alarm goes off you just want to go back to bed. Also as the day unfolds, after you force yourself out of bed, every thing you do ends up messing up. Just when I thought today was lost to the bad day demons the good day angles come in and save it from awfulness! First my sweetie said he could pick me up from work, mega yay, then my awesome coworker said "Hey I have a box full of clothes and shoes for you"! So I got to enjoy some time with my awesome man and then I got to try on a bunch of clothes that are very cool and I can't wait to wear some of these dresses on a date with my man sometime soon!

I just hope I can see him again tomorrow because he is doing a bit of traveling for the next two weekends on top of work. But now off to bed and to think what I am going to bake for my coworker as a "thank you for the awesome clothes!" Good night all!!

P.S. He finally shaved to have the go-tee back! I am sooooooo happy, I think he looks right with it. Okay now good night all.

My Bad Day

This morning I woke up thinking today would be a wonderful day and I would get to have a nice pizza date with my sweetie. But his evil cold hearted boss had other plans. It seems like every time we try to make plans together that evil man makes him work forever long and completely messes every thing even if it is just a couple of hours after work or before my job he some how sticks his nose into it and destroys it.

I wish he had a better job that he enjoys and doesn't make him work so dang long.

I hope everyone's day was better than mine was and everyone's evening is too.

My Job

When I first walked in to River Terrace for my job interview I was beyond nervous. But it has been seven short months since that day and everyday I have worked has been the best bit of work I have done. Not only are the people that come in pretty awesome, but my co-workers and bosses are the best anyone could have. I feel that they are an extinction to my family and I love them all.

Just thought I would try to express how much my job means to me and the people I work with.

Saddness

I can not find my Kindle Fire any where I think it might be at the college but I am beyond sad that I cant find it. Time to turn the house upside down looking for it and asking around the college. Have a good night everyone!

Stuff to Distract Me

Sooo I have a Test Wednesday in my Composition class over a very boring book then two tests on Monday morning one right after another and what am I doing? Sitting here teaching myself how to knit and watching Eureka and eating chocolate. I need to learn how to focus on things some how. I guess I will get to work on all of that lovely stuff tomorrow and enjoy one night of wasting time. Good night everyone!

History Project

Yesterday I went over to my Granny's house to get her help on my family history paper for my history class and we started to look through some of her old pictures and found these beauties.

Spring Is Here!

Yay! Spring is here at last I am beyond happy! Just spent the entire day out in the yard getting my garden ready for seeds while my mom attacked the grass. I also took advantage of the lovely weather to snap a few pictures of some of the things that are already blooming! Well I think it is time I get some rest since I have class in the morning. St. Patrick's Day

Today is one of my favorite holidays ever! Green is not my favorite color but I do enjoy dressing in whatever green I can find and painting my nails a lovely color. In my family it is a tradition to watch The Quiet Man but unfortunately I don't get the pleasure of watching it with them this year, maybe when my sweetie gets home we will have us a movie day and we will watch it because he has never seen it. Some day I will get to go to Ireland and celebrate St. Patty's day there but until that day comes I will enjoy it here in small town U.S.A.

Saddness and Bad Weather

Is it just me or when you find out about something sad or bad happening to someone you love and there is no way that you can fix it the weather turns from happy sunny warm days to rainy windy days? Well that is what is happening to me right now, yesterday I found out that my boyfriend's grandfather died and then shortly I found out about this it started to rain then hail and be all out yucky for the rest of the day. And this morning my sweetie left to go back to Memphis to be with his mother and I can't give him a hug or anything before he starts that way and on top of not getting to see him it is raining and guess what... it might hail also while he is driving on the interstate with a bunch of crazy drivers. So if you can't tell my day will be wet and full of worry, goodie.

I guess I will just sit here and crochet until I hear from someone, hopefully him saying he made it down there okay. 

I hope everyone's day is better then mine will be.

Frustrated!

So since Saturday my sweetie has been in Memphis because of family issues and I really want to be with him right now but my parents wont let me go down there and be with him. I also have not heard from him since Saturday when he was at dinner so it is killing me I want to know if he is okay and how his family is right now. Can someone just flip a switch and make all of the bad things that are happening in his family reverse like instead of a family member dying why not have a happy thing happen and have a baby born or something like that. I am just saying I know he is tired of all this stuff happening to him and so am I.

Now time to go to class and not pay attention because I will be sitting there thinking about him, I hope everyone's day is a little less frustrating than mine.

A Little Late

Hi, sorry I haven't posted anything in a while but I have been forced to read this book (Things Fall Apart) for my composition class and I also have been detracted by the lovely weather here. So, I have been digging holes to put pretty little flowers, trees, and bushes in. I am pretty excited about getting to plant a blackberry bush  (I will be looking for recipes that use blackberry's soon). I also am super excited to be able to use fresh Rosemary when I cook for my family when I get my lovely new bush in the ground! But also kinda sad that I just saw the cutest little puppy running around in my street and my parents wont let me keep the poor lonesome thing. It is amazing when a cat person starts dating a dog person the cat person starts to want dogs AND cats. Well, I guess I had better get back to work will post pictures when everything is in full bloom!
